Overview

“It’s really a privilege to be able to impact the lives of Four Seasons guests and employees on a daily basis.”
Jeff Rednour, Regional Vice President and General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Doha

Four Seasons Hotel Doha combines premium business and function facilities with the spirit of a resort. A three-storey Spa, nine separate restaurants and lounges, a 250m private beach and a 110-berth marina grant the 232-room Hotel an air of luxury.

Destination

Under the leadership of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Doha is undergoing rapid growth and expansion – but the desire to diversify is underpinned by the Qataris’ deep respect for their country’s heritage.

Some of Doha’s world-class developments include:

  • Museum of Islamic Art – Designed by the master of modern architecture I.M. Pei, the 5,000m2 exhibition showcases one of the world’s greatest collections of Islamic art, textiles, rugs and artefacts.

  • Souq Waqif – Doha’s evocative covered market forms a charming counterpoint to the city’s marble-lined shopping malls.

  • The Corniche – The city’s 7km palm-fringed seafront promenade is one of the most famous waterfronts in the Middle East.

  • Khalifa Sports City – Doha’s world-class sporting complex is home to some of Qatar’s most high profile sporting facilities and establishments, such as Khalifa International Stadium, the ASPIRE Academy for Sports Excellence, the Hamad Aquatic Centre; and the Aspire Tower, the 318m tall landmark of the 2006 Asian Games that holds the record for the highest ever positioning of the Olympic flame.

  • ‘Education City’ – A 14 million mdevelopment housing educational facilities from school age to research level as well as branch campuses of five of America’s leading universities (including the Weill Cornell Medical College and the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Arts).

  • Conventions Centre – Qatar National Convention Centre is an unparalleled convention facility, boasting iconic design and cutting edge facilities in a world-first green-technology venue. QNCC is the first of its kind being built to the gold certification of U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED).

Architecture Art & InteriorsImage 2

Four Seasons Hotel Doha is the centrepiece of the prestigious West Bay business and residential complex. The design of the mixed-use West Bay complex, which incorporates townhouses, apartments and offices, was inspired by the Moorish architecture of the magnificent Alhambra palace and fortress complex in Granada, Spain.

Image 3In keeping with the Islamic understanding of attaining peace and harmony through the balance of opposites, the Hotel’s interiors and artwork provide a fascinating synthesis of dark and light, traditional and modern.

One of the most prominent pieces of artwork in the Hotel is The Doves of Peace by Iraqi sculptor Ali Al Jabiri. Located in the soaring triple-height atrium of the Hotel’s lower Grand Lobby, the obvious symbolism of the precariously balanced bronze birds, soaring 10ft above the miniature domes of the water feature below, is tempered by the unified beauty of the design and the proliferation of birds depicted.

Accommodation

The accommodation at Four Seasons Hotel Doha is classic in style, combining residential comfort with an elegant ambience. Over a quarter of the 232-room accommodation is arranged as suites with original art, large plants and floral amenities offering a welcoming appeal. All rooms have step-out balconies.

The Hotel’s collection of 57 suites all feature French Empire-style furniture in olive ash burl, with glass-panel doors leading to multiple terraces. The regal, two-level West Bay suites offer 360 degree city and Gulf views from within one of the Hotels’ two turrets, whilst the corner State Suites offer expansive open plan living complete with grand piano and dining for 10.Image 4

Comfortable and generous in signature features such as deep soaking marble bathtubs, the Hotel’s Four Seasons Executive Suite and Deluxe Four Seasons Executive Suite have the privacy and space that is especially appreciated during a longer stay.

The Ambassador Suite offers a balance of privacy and luxury, making it the perfect venue for casual entertaining or informal meetings. Guests will enjoy extra touches, like the two step-out balconies, and the added convenience of a guest powder room.

The Royal Suite is a two-storey private residence on the Hotel’s top floor, comprising a flowing arrangement of meeting, living, dining, catering and sleeping quarters; at the centre is a large double-height living room that opens onto four furnished terraces.
